Calculator sources and reference index.

This index lists every external reference attached to a published calculator definition and examples of the calculators using it. The exact relevance note remains beside the formula on each calculator page. A source supports only that stated claim—it does not approve an individual estimate.

How to read this index

What does a listed source establish?

A listed source establishes only the relationship described in its note. Public standards and government guidance are preferred for units, safety context, and regulated-work boundaries. Manufacturer documents support product-specific coverage or yield, while current labels, local codes, site conditions, and supplier quotes still control the final project decision.

To keep this directory fast, each entry shows one example calculator. Complete source notes and calculator mappings remain visible on pages such as the square footage calculator, and in the expanded machine-readable reference.

Every currently published calculator has at least one attached external reference. The source notes sit beside the visible formula, assumptions, worked example, and limitations; a source link is not treated as a substitute for explaining the arithmetic.
